If you follow us on instagram, you know our last few years have been dedicated to restoring a beautiful, historic home in Rutherford, NJ. We poured our heart and soul into this project and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From picking the perfect wallpaper, to finding flawless antique pieces, this renovation made all of our design dreams come true.
We want to take you through how we transformed #RidgeRoadReno. It was not always easy and maybe not always fun but the end result made it all worth it. Now let’s dive in!
The kitchen was covered in old cabinetry, faux tin and too many walls…
We added ceiling height, an 8 foot Andersen slider, and patterned tile for a modern yet playful take on a colonial kitchen!
The before of the living spaces: cramped, old wallpaper, and full of cat pillows [see our IGTV video on Instagram for that!]
The after: blue/grey trim, custom banquettes, and a new interpretation of cat pillows [ha!].
Moving on to the enchanted vestibule, we can’t get over the beauty…
We took back a ton of dead space and reconfigured layouts to gain an additional bathroom on the 2nd floor. Mint green marble for the win!
